Join us as we kick off the holiday season at the annual SoWa Winter Festival. Housed in the iconic SoWa Power Station, the SoWa Winter Festival is the biggest winter shopping village in Boston. Featuring over 100 of the region's best makers and specialty food vendors, you'll find the perfect handmade gifts for everyone on your list. While you shop, sip on winter spirits by Banyan Bar + Refuge - 10% of proceeds will be donated to our neighbors at the Haley House

On Thayer Street (450 Harrison Ave), the winter wonderland continues in a heated tent featuring live holiday music, a flower crown station with Alice's Table, as well as mulled wine, hot chocolate, and raclette cheese specialties by Gaslight. Right outside, enjoy food trucks, fire pits, live ice sculpting from noon - 2:30 pm, as well as the galleries, artist studios, and shops that call SoWa home year 'round.

Union Station, 2 Washington Square, Worcester, MA

stART on the Street brings its 10th annual gifting-themed arts and crafts festival to Worcester’s Union Station at 2 Washington Square on Sunday, December 6, from 11 – 5pm {stART your holiday shopping ahead of the crowds from 9-11am for a $15 admission fee} Admission free starting at 11am.

Browse through 100 Artists and Crafters in the Grand Hall and then take a stroll around the Concourse where 35 more Artists and Crafters will be selling their wares. As with all stART events, artists and crafters create only handmade goods. Wares will range range from textiles, pottery, stained glass, and fine jewelry to photography, pet wares, holiday cards, ornaments, terrariums and so much more.

Union Station’s restaurants will offer a full bar and a light menu during the event. Luciano’s Cotton Club, inside Union Station’s Grand Hall, will also host a football lounge, so shoppers won’t have to chose between buying local and catching the game.

Parking is available for $1 at the Union Station garage and free in municipal lots, and there is an ATM on site.

Beacon Hill Art Walk 2016—June 5

The Beacon Hill Art Walk  is an annual event that takes place on the first Sunday in June, throughout the nooks & crannies of Beacon Hill’s North Slope. 

Residents open up their private gardens, alleyways, and courtyards and allow artists to display and sell their artwork. It is a chance for visitors to tour the private spaces of Beacon Hill while viewing original, handmade artwork. Thousands of people attend each year. It is a free popular event in the neighborhood, with a festive atmosphere and volunteer musicians playing in various gardens throughout the day.

Around 100 artists usually participate, with a variety of styles, media, and subject matter. As a visitor you will enjoy a unique atmosphere boasting bursts of colors at the background sound of live classical, klezmer, and folk music playing in various gardens throughout the day. Artists display a variety of styles, media, and subject matter.  

Enjoy beautiful music as it resonates off the bricks in the gardens & courtyards of Beacon Hill during the Art Walk.  Music has become an integral part of the Art Walk, and each year dozens of talented musicians donate their time to play at the event.  Visitors enjoy a unique atmosphere boasting bursts of colors and the background sound of live Volunteer Musicians.  Groups have included Klezmer Ensembles, String Quartets, Folk Groups, Fiddle Groups, Native American Flute and more, which play in various gardens and spaces throughout the day.
